Together at Kreativ Dental

On our family day we make lunch together, too. Last year we cooked Goulash with bean (babgulyás) in pot. It was so delicious that we keep on saying how fantastic it was. We asked our women colleagues to bake some cakes at home to have dessert after the meal. – said Attila Knott.

After the stodge meal we could have a rest. For the children we organised art and craft activities. There was a possibility to try glass painting, to make paper animals or flowers or to make wall pictures. Painting pebbles was a big hit and we, adults, also tried it gladly. - he added

After these activities the Alma zenekar (Apple Band) had a short concert. It was great to see how they could entertain the smallest kids as well. What is more, adults could latch on to singing some familiar songs.

While children had a lot of fun doing things organised for them, adults spent their time with talking and having drinks and beer.

We often organize family outings, too. – said Mr. Knott.

This year we are organising a trip to the Csillagösvény(‘Starpath’) in Ópusztaszer . This is a kind of theme park based on the theme of the labyrinths’. Through the mazes several logical tasks, folk toys and games are offered by the organisers. Next to the maze there is a brilliant playground, too.- told Attila.

I hope many colleagues of us and their families can come to this trip and with this event we can give them a wonderful experience as a present.

Future improvements at Kreativ Dental based on patient reviews

Before the treatment our patients are fully informed about their following medical procedures. Our doctors also tell that what effects can occur after certain treatments.

Our main aim is that our patients’ own teeth remain because these basics are the best to build up a new tooth on. –said Attila Knott.

During the dental treatments our doctors keep context with the patients. They tell what dental treatments are being done at that moment for example he/she explains that the patient will feel a little air in his or her mouth.- said Attila Knott.

Before starting the treatments it is made clear that if any problem arises, for example the patient feels pain etc., he or she is asked to put his/her hand up and the doctor stops the treatment to solve the problem.

During the treatments there will be a possibility to listen to music. Our patients will be able to decide how she or he wants to do this. They can choose from headphones or low music playing from the background. There is a wide range of music (more than 1000 albums) to select from. What is more, we plan to have the option of listening to the patient's own music.-said Attila Knott.

Once we had an extreme case when a Swedish young man asked to watch an action film during the treatment. We were surprised but, of course, we tried to comply with his request. This is where the idea came from.

The things mentioned above show that we try to do our best to make the dental treatments more pleasant. We care about the temperature and lighting of the dentist’s surgery and we really want our patients feel themselves home. - told Attila Knott.

At the end of the treatments our patients will get a photo of before and after the treatment. This shows clearly how beautiful someone's face can be with healthy teeth .

We try to keep contact with our patients after the treatments and we send them e-mails with newsletters and follow-up letters. - said Attila Knott.

Family day at Kreativ Dental

For us it is very important that our colleagues feel well in their workplace. And it is also vital that their family members feel satisfaction about the working conditions. Because if children see that their mother goes working gladly it is likely that they will follow this example and their attitude towards work will be better.-said Attila Knott.

Unfortunately I feel many times that the Hungarian society does not appreciate workforce, and we want to change this attitude. We would like to achieve our employees to be proud of working here.-told Attila.

Besides employees we consider family is essential. Every year we hold a family day where we wait our workers with different kinds of programs.

In 2013 we organised a family day in our institution. This time family members of our colleagues can see the place where their relatives spend their working days. Especially children are curious of how the place looks like where mummy or daddy goes working everyday, the people who are talked about at home by their parents. –said Mr. Knott.

He also told that after seeing the building itself a family competition started where family teams tried a fall with other family teams in different funny tasks.

We tried to put that kind of tasks which connect to dental things. For example, who can brush the model teeth in the shortest time in the most perfect way? In one of the tasks there were two teams. One was the Dentists’ the other was the Teeth’s team.  Which team was stronger? Did the Dentist’s team manage to pull the ‘bad teeth’?

In 2013 the winner of the competition was the Horváth family. Their prize was free admissions to the Tropicarium.

How it happens at Kreativ Dental Budapest - for dentists, dental technicians, assistants...

Besides the massage it is also important to mention that there is a possibility of having therapy session.-said Attila Knott.

These days one of our colleagues is studying therapy and she leads therapy sessions as practice in our clinic.

During these sessions she gives such practical advises to our colleagues that can help them to do well in everyday work. This is extremely important because with a little attention joint aches can be prevented.

Mr. Knott gives these tips to his colleagues at Kreativ Dental:

• Instead of lift let’s use the stairs.
• Sit straight in order to oppress both sciatic joints equally.
• If we stanchion our lower arms and wrists during working we can avoid the aching and inflammation of the upper arm
• During long standing and sitting it is good for us if we do some circle exercise with our head and neck and stretch ourselves.
• Heed breathing; sometimes take some deep breath slowly in rhythm and then let it out. During inhaling stretch up with our crown and hold this position while we are exhaling.
• Fix our chair in that high that our legs can square. The back-rest of the chair should be 20 cm above the seat. Lay our lower arm on the table if it is possible it should be in square.
• Look down to the monitor mildly.
• It is important to have at least  10 minutes-break.

When we planned our colleagues working places we paid attention on that all of our employees get ergonomic chairs. What is more, we provide them comfortable shoes so that their foot won’t be tired in them too soon.-said Attila Knott from Kreativ Dental

Free dental treatment

Free dental treatment not just only to the employees of Kreativ Dental but also to the immediate relatives of Kreativ Dental employees as well. - said the owner of Kreativ Dental Attila Knott.  This was a very human and positive decision and not many other clinics are providing this kind of service! What is this exactly? Everybody who works at Kreativ Dental is getting a free dental treatment including their immediate family members such as husbands, wives, mothers, fathers, sons and daughters. They only have to pay for the material cost of their dental treatments!

In Hungary the condition of people’s teeth is woeful. The reason of this can be for example a previous bad experience at the dentist or the lack of the state aid, etc. And it can often lead to that the teenagers’ have very bad teeth or they have several missing teeth nowadays.

Attila Knott told he thinks it is very important for several reasons that their employees can get a material cost dental treatment.

• Our employees feel that they and their family members are carried for.
• Our clinic provides high standard service and modern technology which is available for our employees as well.
• With the help of it the condition of the Hungarian peoples’ teeth can be improved.
• We introduce those kinds of techniques which can be the foundation for the success of further dental treatments. For example, one of our colleagues’ three-year old son’s tooth was broken off. They came to our surgery and our doctor examined him cheerfully and playfully. This is so important because in this way children won’t have any fear of the dentists. Unfortunately this playful examination wouldn’t happen in an average surgery.
• It is not without importance how the marketing and promotion happen. I think it shouldn’t be mentioned that the ‘perfect smile’ is compulsory in a dental clinic.
• The adequation of the social differences is very important for us. As a result, it is equally important that our cleaner’s son has as good teeth as our doctor’s son has.

Attila Knott thinks his clinic needs happy employees

We have come to a very important conclusion, that a frequent body massage is a key element to a human body, pressed his opinion Mr. Attila Knott. Therefore, at Kreativ Dental Clinic every Thursday, we have a professional masseur there who is massaging our employees whichever type of body massage they need. The employees don`t pay for it, the clinic does. I think it is a nice gesture towards our people.

The daily grind is very demanding for the human organism. Our employees often stand and sit for a long time. These all may cause the pressure and pain which are felt in different parts of the body.

According to different studies the brain starts to fill up a few minutes after the beginning of the massage and the tired muscles become fresher after the competent touch. –  said Attila Knott.

It has many advantages because the relaxed colleagues are fresh and are ready for the work. What is more, the massage provides them good mood which  is particularly important because they deal with the patients. I think it is very important that our employees feel we carry about them and they are appreciated. - said Attila.

Mr.  Knott told that most of them choose the office massage because it can be done anywhere and it doesn’t require any special tools or spacious place. In the clinic for this opportunity an office is configured to be a massage room.

During the office massage people are wearing their clothes and it doesn’t require any massage oil. These kinds of treatments take only 15 or 30 minutes which are not longer than a break.

The massage includes the treatment of the head, neck, shoulders, arms, hands, back and waist. In the course of the office massage the blood flow and circulation remedial Swedish and refreshing massages are applied.

There is a possibility to have a head massage which can reduce the headache or it can even make an end to it.

During the massage the patients are listening relaxation music and the totally relaxation can be helped by different aromatic incense.

Aquariums at Kreativ Dental

Based on scientific studies, aquariums have a calming effect on people, said Attila Knott. Therefore, that is why we have even 3 of them at Kreativ Dental Clinic. Two of them are fresh water aquariums and third one the biggest is cylindrical shaped with salt water. Besides these 3 aquariums, we have a little pond in the garden with African perches in. During the winter they go down 1 and half meter deep and there stay through the end of the winter.

In 1984 dr.Katcher applied the calming effect of the aquariums in his dentist’s surgery. He was an eager dentist who noted down that after he put an aquarium in his room the patients were not so scared. - said Attila Knott.

In the course of further monitoring it turned out that those patients who were hypnotised and had watched aquariums felt the same beneficial effect in both cases. But in some cases the aquarium turned out to be more efficient.

Other studies tell that those patients who were watching an impressive aquarium full with wonderful fish before the treatment called for less pain-killer.

Unfortunately involving animals in different treatments are not well-known in Hungary and most doctors thinks of the guide-dog at best if this topic is mentioned. But in our clinic we use animal therapy methods because we believe that it is an efficient way of reducing stress and fear. - explained Attila Knott.

It happened to me many times that after certain hard-working days I realise that I am just sitting in front of the aquarium admiring the fish while they are swimming back and forth through the maze of the plants and rocks. This time I am so amazed and it can relax me totally. - said Attila Knott, manager at Kreativ Dental.

Most people are afraid of the dentist. The reason of this can be that they met an incompetent or rude dentist in their childhood who gave them pain. Besides many people are in dread of the unpleasant sound of the drill.

Attila Knott said that their doctors get a special training how to ease the tension and fear of the patients. At the first meeting doctors gain information about the patients’ dental past. When was the first time when the patient was at a dentist? What memories does he or she have? According to Attila Knott it is very important that the patient share his or her fear with the doctor and in this way it can be solved by the dentist.

At the first time our doctors introduce themselves and they also demonstrate their professional past briefly and those specialities where they are trained in. The main aim of these is the patient feels he/she is treated by the best specialist. If the patients see they are at a competent dentist they open out easier and share their fears about the dental treatment.

On the walls of the surgeries copies of different degrees, courses and qualifications are on view for everyone.

After the introductory talking the dentists show the dental tools and they demonstrate how and what these things are used for. Attila Knott thinks most people are scared of the sound of the drill. The music could be the solution for the bad sound of this tool which can be listened by the help of earphones. After the first meeting the assessment of the patient’s dental state can start. 

Story of Kreativ Dental - from the early days till today

Kreativ Dental was built 2006-2007. More precisely, from the August of 2006 until the July of 2007.The clinic consist 8 dental surgeries, lately had been two more added, so now it has 10 dental surgeries. It `s emploees had rised over 70 so far. They have 12 dentists including the specialists as well. 20 very well trained dental technicians. 7 of them are ceramists, 6 of them are metal technicians, 2 of them denturists, 3 of them plaster men and one of them the assistant of the 7 ceramists. Kreativ Dental has around 24/25 dental assistants and they have 2 dental assistant supervisors. Including 5 certified dental hygienists as well. It has a full logistic department with 7 employees. They have 4 translators too, Norwegian, Danish, French, Italian and German.

Kreativ Dental has several brilliant mechanical and technical solutions. Let`s talk about the so called Heat Pump system. That equipment had been designed and shipped from Vancouver, Canada to the clinic in the year of 2007.The building has no any gas source whatsoever! In all sealing pipes had been built in, in a serpent shape. In the summer time heath emits, winter cools down the facilities. In fact it had been more expensive at the beginning but after 4/5 years it is more economical, than the conventional gas or electric heating methods. Kreativ Dental also has a very high quality ventilation system which was made in Austria. It has 40-50 filters which are electronically connected to the building management system computer. If any of those is due to change, then it is shown on the computer that exactly where. The air which is sucked in from outside goes through that many filters so when finally arrives to its destination the employee’s breath in air like being in the high mountains!

Kreativ Dental previously had 8 dental surgeries, which were completed in 2007. Since then, due to the continuous growing demand, Kreativ Dental came to the decision that either to build 1 more clinic adjacent of the existing clinic across the street with 6 dental surgeries. That building would have been a 4 story high including a deep car garage as well. To getting the building permit for it took a mere 2 years long period, thanks to the local Hungarian bureaucracy! In the last minute after a company meeting, the management have decided that instead of a brand new dental clinic which would have cost more than 3 million Euros would convert its existing further educating training centre into 2 dental surgeries, waiting room and an office space. The construction works lasted only one month and after it the two dental surgeries were fully functional at Kreativ Dental. The clinic in the last year has hired four more excellent, well experienced dentists as well and they perfectly merge in with the rest of the dentists. That decision just have two more surgeries instead of four has came from the decision of Attila Knott the owner and manager of Kreativ Dental who has seen and understood the fact that Kreativ Dental won’t be able to increase its patients influx by 400-500 hundred more per month. Two chairs would be able to do a 150 more patients per month and this number in the next 1-2 years would be achievable. If let’s say 1 or 2 years later the 10 surgeries would be insufficient then we can still think an expansion but as of now it is not an issue, said Attila Knott. If we would have to increase the capacity of our in-house laboratory than we would purchase an industrial dental milling machine what can mill around 2000 unit per month from non-precious metal, zirconium, and acrylic. We would place that equipment to one of our house around the clinic. So far, we have purchased 4 private houses. In our laboratory presently we have 20 dental technicians and still we would be able to accommodate two more dental technicians but unfortunately not more.

No more working station in our laboratory is available for any further expansion, said Attila Knott the manager and owner of Kreativ Dental clinic. The good news is that we have a small but very high quality laboratory in the city of Budapest where we can send our overflow. They are working with us more than 5 years and we are very happy with them! They are doing an outstanding work and the owner of that particular dental laboratory was our own dental technician for five years long, so exactly he had learnt our way of doing dental works! We have to see that what the future will bring and accordingly expand upon it, said Attila Knott. Lately, we have replaced our two sand blasters for two brand new, which again have increased our quality on our laboratory for the better. Now, we can produce smoother surfaces on our crowns which would decrease the chance for chippings and for breakage! This is very important fact, because we are giving five years long guarantee on our works and in that way we can ensure a better longevity on our crowns and bridges. We are always looking where and what we can improve in order to serve our patients with the highest quality of treatments and services in dentistry! Always the best survives!
